Hi,
About God's
judgment of the USA... God is looking for the increase of Christ
in a people. [My comment: TRUE]. His church is not made up of nations
but of people [My comment: partially true + false. His redeeemed are from
every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues - Rev.7:9]. 2000+
years ago, His punishment of the nation of Israel, and other nations who
disobeyed Him had to do with drawing a people unto Himself inside the covenant
with Israel [My comment: True].
God's judgment
of the entire Adamic race happened at the cross [My comment: False].
Once that was done, there was no more 1st Covenant [My comment: Only
for the Jewish believer; for the Jew outside Yeshua it is still in force].
It was fulfilled in the Second Covenant which was placed in the hearts
of those who would believe [My comment: True]. Death had been judged
and put away [My comment: True]. Judgment does not mean punishment,
it means separating the old from the new, the 1st covenant from the second...
[My
comment: True] separating all that is of Christ from all that is not
of Christ, since Christ is "all and in all" and everything that means anything
was settled at the cross - in Christ [My comment: True].
God dealt
with governments during the Old Testament times in a different fashion
than He does now [My comment: False. G-d has not changed, nor have
His laws]. Everything was type and shadow pointing to the Day the day
that Christ would come on the scene [My comment: True] and the cross
would free mankind of the law [My comment: Would free the Jew, Not
mankind] and of the fallen-ness that Adam could not escape [My comment:
True]. "For I (my old Adam nature) have been crucified with Christ,
and I live, yet it is not I who live, but Christ who lives in me..."
We (the
entire human race) have already been judged [My comment: False].
People, individually, either belong to Christ, or they do not [My comment:
True]. The Cross is the sword unlike no other! [My comment: True]
Any further judgment in addition to the cross would be anticlimactic and
would diminish what Christ did [My comment: False] to bring about
the end of the old race and the beginning of the new race where there is
no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female.... (My comment: True]
Love you,

Annelore,
Sometime
I'd love to talk about the "Land of Israel" with you.
God said
"Israel is my son." The people were chosen by God -- but the geography
was only a place for them to live [My comment: False]. Anything
it had that connected to the sacred relationship that Jews had with God
changed at the cross when all the prophesies were fulfilled [My comment:
False].
Geography
was included in things of the covenant of Moses that gets fulfilled through
the cross [My comment: False] and in the new covenant there is not
Jew and Greek separation [My comment: True]. I know that I
am saying something you already know... but there is no longer a separate
old covenant with the Jews and also a new covenant with Christians [My
comment: True]. The old was never to be anything beyond that which would
point to Messiah [My comment: True].
The only
covenant that exists is the new covenant [My comment: False]. You
remember that the Jews got upset when Jesus himself said that He was the
only way to the Father. That is still true [My comment: for one who
would be a CHILD of G-d].
Love you,
Milo (full
name given)

Although much
of what Milo says is true, fallacies of the early Gentile church which
are accepted as truth even to this day darken his understanding. And because
such a vast multitude believe these doctrines, the truth is regarded as
error.
In the epistle
to the Romans, Paul wrote this concerning the Jews: “They are Israelites,
and to THEM belong the sonship, the glory, THE COVENANTS,
the giving of Torah, the worship, and the PROMISES; to THEM
belong the patriarchs and of THEIR race, according to the flesh, is the
Messiah. G-d Who is over ALL be blessed forever. Amen.”[5]
In the epistle
to the Ephesians he wrote: “… REMEMBER that YOU were at that
time, formerly, separated from Messiah, alienated from the Commonwealth
of Israel, and strangers to the COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having
no hope and without G-d in the world.”[6]
What is widely
overlooked by most Christians is that G-d made MORE than one Covenant with
His people Israel. The OLD covenant was a BLOOD covenant, as is the NEW
covenant: a BLOOD covenant
our Lord Yeshua
instituted by the shedding of His blood!
The FIRST,
or OLD blood covenant is recorded in Exodus 24:7-8:
“And he [Moses]
took the book of the covenant [Torah], and read in the audience of the
people: and they said, ‘All that the L-RD has said will we do, and be obedient.’
“And Moses
took the blood and sprinkled it ON THE PEOPLE and said, ‘Behold, the BLOOD
OF THE COVENANT, which the L-RD has made with you concerning all these
words.”
THIS
is what the Scriptures refer to as the “Old” covenant.
Most Christians,
however, understand this to mean that all of the Mosaic dispensation is
obsolete, no longer valid and no longer in force.
This is false!
The First blood
covenant was based on keeping the Law (which is called “Torah
– The Teachings of the Commandments of G-d”), and ratified
with the sprinkling of animal blood which could neither redeem from the
power of sin and death nor cleanse one’s conscience.
The Second
and New blood Covenant is based on FAITH in MESSIAH YESHUA'S blood
which obliterates the foundation of the first and old Blood Covenant and
thereby changes everything. For what the First blood covenant could not
achieve with animal blood, the Second covenant fully achieves with Yeshua’s
blood:
• It atones
for sin;
• redeems
from the first sin in the Garden, and from Satan’s control held
over mankind ever since;
• it delivers
the believer from the power of sin and death;
• it cleanses
the conscience of the former sinner, as he repents;
• it is the
source
of recreation by which G-d transforms the sinner into a new man, a
child of G-d, the
former,
sinful nature being “circumcised” by the circumcision of Messiah in baptism[7].
Whereas the
Old Covenant was founded upon WORKS - the keeping of the Law or Torah to
perfection, the New covenant is founded upon FAITH – faith in Yeshua’s
atoning death, in His resurrection and ascension. Hence, FAITH in YESHUA’S
BLOOD redeems us from TRANSGRESSIONS of the Law of Torah.
It is the FOUNDATION
and the BLOOD of the Old covenant that have changed – but NOT the standard
of righteousness, justice and holiness as embodied in Torah according to
which we are meant to conduct our daily affairs.
Torah has never
been abolished!!! Isaiah and Micah the prophets declare that in the Messianic
Reign
“… out of
Zion shall go forth the Law, and the Word of the L-RD from Jerusalem.”
The word for “Law” is Torah. Are they wrong?[8].
