To all who love the Lord Yeshua HaMashiach, Who is the “Light of Zion” – in Hebrew OR TZION -  and His servant Jacob, Israel His chosen Heritage:

The month of “Tammuz” in the Jewish Calendar is under the cover and authority of a Babylonian idol, a very mighty spirit of the underworld, one of Satan’s main generals. Those of us who are in Messiah have nothing to fear of Him for “all authority has been given to us over ALL of the power of the enemy.” BUT --- not all Israel is yet under the authority of Yeshua. Therefore the responsibility to stand in the gap and make up the breach is upon our shoulders!

G-d commanded His people in Exodus 23:13 “you shall not make mention of the NAMES of other gods, nor let such be HEARD out of your mouth.” Yet every year when THIS month which is now on our calendar comes around again the name of that “god” is mentioned and heard for every day of that month. The name of this idol is “Tammuz.”^t The 4th month of the Babylonian Calendar was named after him, and his cult was characertized by ritual offerings, lamentations and weepings. In Egypt he was known as “Osiris,” and in Greece as “Adonis.”

His cult claims that he was a Sumerian shepherd and ruler who married the goddess “Ishtar.” Without going into all the myths surrounding this “goddess,” let it suffice that the Scriptures refer to her as the one who was worshiped by the idolatrous Israelites as “Queen of heaven.”¹  She was also known by the names of “Astarte,” “Isis,” and in the West as the Greek “Artemis” (goddess of war and fertility: the great Artemis of Ephesus) or/and “Aphrodite” (goddess of love and beauty) and the Roman “Venus.” She was later “Christianized” by the Roman Christian State religion and her title “Queen of heaven” was conferred upon Yeshua’s mother Miriam. 

G-d both loathed the cult of Tammuz as well as that of Ishtar, and in hot jealousy and wrath He punished His people for their idolatry. The cult of Tammuz especially is a satanic counterfeit of the person and sacrificial life of the Son of G-d, Yeshua the Messiah. The Tammuz cult incorporated festivals of his death (funeral offerings with lamentation and weeping) and resurrection (offerings of every sort of vegetation).

Hence, every year for one month the name of this idol and of his associate, Ishtar, literally “rule” over Israel, over the Jewish people. Why they ever adopted this name to “head” this month in our Calendar I do not know. But I DO know that the worst, most terrible disasters that ever befell our people occurred during that month, usually culminating in the worst of atrocity or edict on the 9th of Av. That is the date on which both temples were destroyed, Crusades were declared, the edict of the Spanish Inquisition was ratified and many other horrors planned, proclaimed and carried out.

The Lord brought it to my attention – strangely enough – by the “prophecy” of a false prophet, false because he prophesied from bitterness and vindictiveness, speaking only words of vengeance and wrath against Israel for and in a time that is still set apart for Israel’s redemption. And the Lord explained to me that this demon of hell by the name of Tammuz “rules” over the Jewish people during that month. The presence of this principality appears like a huge dark blanket hovering over Israel, attempting to block the light and protective shield of our G-d, the Holy One of Israel. This principality works nearly unimpeded, intent on utterly destroying the nation of Israel.

BUT --- the Lord explained further that much of this demon’s effect could be minimized if we, who are the children of light, stand in the gap and make up the breach. Once again He instructed me to wear sackcloth for the duration of this time, which was from the 8th of July through the 29th, and to fast as I am able².

When I pray I put earth upon my head (instead of ashes), something you may not be required to do, but was enjoined on me. If you feel led to do the same thing, by all means, do. It has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with legalism, but with an outward sign and statement of total repentance, of total grieving over sins, with a total humbling of the flesh, of the MORTAL nature before an Almighty G-d. As intercessors we do this in proxy for the ones on behalf of whom we intercede, as in this case for Israel.

When I pray I pray ONLY THE WORD. For as long as the Spirit of G-d remains on me for this purpose I VOICE the WORD! I do not pray my own ideas and thoughts or feelings, but only as the Lord leads me, from Scripture to Scripture, I pray, I VOICE His Word. 

I have 3 reasons why I pray that way:

1) His Word shall not return void but accomplish that for which it was purposed and prosper in the thing for which it was sent³; 
2) G-d’s angels, His mighty ones who DO His WORD, who HEARKEN to the VOICE of His WORD are His ministers that do His will⁴; 
3) Because I know that if we ask ANYTHING according to HIS will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have OBTAINED the requests made of Him⁵.

G-d’s word is His expressed will. And I post this letter especially to all intercessors who have the interests of our Lord at heart, who pray by His Spirit and not according to their own mind and imagination. Personal “feelings” have no place in intercession, only the will and purpose of the Father. Therefore we ponder the state of affairs at the particular time, lamenting and weeping in “sackcloth and ashes,” in proxy for the sins of Israel, the Jewish people. We stand in the gap in the mighty Name of Yeshua, repenting and humbling ourselves, making up the breach with the power of Yeshua’s cross and blood.

G-d wants to be reminded continuously of the oath He swore by His own Name and of all of His good promises, that He may perform them⁶. 

What follows is an example of how to pray the Word on behalf of Israel. Please, let no “personal rational” enter in! Do not pray according to what YOU think is right. Pray only as the Holy Spirit leads and prompts. Bear in mind that G-d does not wish that any man should perish⁷ but, at the same token, He also has prepared certain men as vessels unto destruction. It is not up to us to judge what the Potter does with the clay. He forms this and that vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable; some for sacred use, and others for destruction⁸. He does what HE wills and He does it according to HIS knowledge, wisdom and understanding, and not according to ours⁹.

Therefore, when the Spirit leads you to Scriptures of judgment and destruction upon Israel’s enemies, which are also G-d’s enemies because they openly defy His oath, His election and covenant, then don’t let thoughts of mercy cause you to skip these prayers. There is no mercy decreed for Amalek¹⁰, and judgments are already sealed on His enemies, including those mentioned in Psalm 83. These are judgments SEALED, meaning, no amount of prayer can nor is intended to reverse them¹¹. So, just follow His leading and not your own understanding.

On the other hand, always bear in mind to remind the Lord that He is the righteous Judge of all the earth, and that surely those who love peace and hate evil should not be made to share in G-d’s judgment upon the unrepentant evil and wicked¹². So, regardless among which people, nation, tribe and tongue they live, implore the Lord to spare those who hate evil and love peace, who embrace goodness and deal righteously. And He will do it and in the end will bring them also in His salvation.
