![]() Egypt systematically blocked the Gazan Palestinians from shopping and from reaching deeper into Egypt. The Egyptians searched homes in El Arish for Gazans and placed a curfew on the El Arish shopping areas. They closed the highway leading through the Sinai into Sharm el-Sheikh and the “Peace Bridge” crossing over the Suez Canal. A convoy of supplies was prevented from crossing the Bridge into the Sinai to Palestinian shoppers. A wire fence to keep out the Gazans is being erected. Mubarak refuses to link Gaza to Egypt, and is sealing the Egyptain/Gazan border. Not a word of protest has been uttered by anyone. Israel, however, is judged and severely condemned when she behaves in precisely the same way and seals her border with Gaza. The entire world screams “siege”, ignoring Israel’s security needs in the face of incessant bombing in the south. Any other country would deem this bombing an act of war and respond in kind. The double standard applied to Israel is incredible! While Egypt’s “right” to seal off its borders is beyond dispute, Israel is forced to keep her border open to terrorists whose raison d’etre is to kill the Jews. Why doesn’t Egypt welcome the Gazans? Because wherever the Palestinians settle they create upheaval, bringing lawlessness and terror. They did this in Jordan and King Hussein drove them out10. They did this in Lebanon and Israel drove them out11. They did this in Kuwait and the Kuwaitis drove them out12. Following Israel’s victory in the Sinai campaign all of Israel’s generals along with Ben Gurion’s cabinet and advisers counseled AGAINST keeping Gaza, suggesting that Egypt deal with it. Ben Gurion disagreed. Unhappily the generals’ prediction proved true and Gaza has been nothing but a troublesome thorn in Israel’s side. Why then do the Arabs want to make the world believe that the Arab world stands united behind the Palestinians?c Because then Palestinians serve as convenient pawns in the Arab effort to uproot and destroy the hated sovereign "Zionist entity" in the midst of their “holy” Arab land. On December 17, 1992, Israel deported 415 Hamas terrorists toward Lebanon. The men got trapped between Israel and Lebanon, the latter refusing to let them in, remembering the horror inflicted on them by the Palestinians. Syria refused to admit the Palestinians, Jordan refused, and none of the Arab nations were willing to receive these 415 Palestinians. No one wondered, why? Rather, as expected, world
opinion turned against Israel demanding that she allow those terrorists
to return. The Palestinians’ joyous celebration over the foiled deportation
is only one of many humiliations world opinion forced on Israel. It was
another sign to the Palestinians that Israel would soon be defeated.
NOTE: The whole Middle East is experiencing Internet outages or great difficulties to get on line due to cut underwater cables. I struggled for days to upload the pages of this newsletter while the situation with Gaza is changing daily. Right now I cannot get emails out nor these pages uploaded. However, when I will finally succeed the information of this newsletter will still be relevant regardless of new developments. The purpose of Or Tzion’s newsletters is to keep you not only informed but guarded against the activity of Satan with pretended signs and wonders and all wicked deception, in order to empower you to escape Satan’s net and the coming trials and stand before our Savior and Lord, Messiah Yeshua, Son of G-d and Son of Man. Yours in Him,
P.S. Following is a typical question asked of me by decent and "open minded" people. This one was asked by a born again, Spirit filled believer. My answer to her question and our ensuing correspondence is posted on the "Articles" site. DLBahler88@aol.com wrote: "Annelore: I have to ask you, how does all of this fit with Jesus' command to love our enemies and to give them something to eat and drink? It just seems to me that if Israel actually followed that policy that the Arabic people would find less to hate about Jews and become more willing to try to live together in peace. I'm sorry, but I don't see much happening in the Middle East that reflects God's heart. It all seems to be about LAND and He always seemed to me to be all about PEOPLE." "Just asking. Thanks, Diane Bahler"
