I was inspired
to draw this picture, as I was weeping over his young life having been
cut so short.
Heartbroken,
I asked the Lord why He took such a precious, wonderful and noble young
man;
why could
it not have been one base and worthless fellow who never contributed one
good thing
to his family
and our nation. This is what He answered me:
"I do not take
for Myself what is blemished but what is pure and noble.
It is such
as these who cry out to Me day and night for My people.
They are My
intercessors who stand in the gap for them and make up the breach.
Ari is now
one of them; his life and his death have not been in vain, for
he still serves
My purpose, in that he is joined to all who do not keep silent.
who do not
rest, nor give Me rest until I save and establish
Zion as a
blessing in the earth and as a diadem of beauty."
Then I saw
this vision of Ari in the Tree of life with the holy flames of the Menorah,
symbol
both of Messiah
as well as of the nation of Israel, enveloping him as holy fire from the
Holy Spirit,
who in the
form of a dove descends upon Ari's head, while the flames merge
into the word
"Shalom," crowning Ari's head. Ari has entered into the peace of G-d
which passes
all human understanding.
The roots of
this tree run into and enclose Ari's parents whose hearts are broken in
grief over
his untimely
and violent departure. It is the tree of life which averts the hot flames
of their sorrow from
utterly overwhelming
them.
In the background
lie the fields of Ir Ovot and its caravans, framed by the mountains of
the Arava.
A high antenna
transmits the voice of Simcha who at the time was a "voice crying out in
the wilderness,"
with many
hundreds, even thousands of both Jew and Gentile coming to hear this prophet
in the Arava.
Here are a few photos from the good and happy times at Ir Ovot:
Ari in yellow shirt, his brother Dari in the blue, and our son Yizrael in white with the red hat. x |
Ari in white shorts, Dari is driving and Yizrael in yellow shirt. That day a wagon of chicken poop unloaded on Yizrael, oy did he smell! We had a big laugh, but he didn't think this funny. |
Ari's grave, what it looked like at the Jahrzeit of his death in 1995. |
Upon the request of Ari's brother
Dari I have changed some of my original text.
I do not agree with Dari's request
but for now I oblige.
X
